Question?
I'm going to post the Long and Convoluted story of McWife (which is basically the story of my writing-for-publication) through this week, but before I started that I wanted to ask a couple of webby questions:-
Which author's website and/or blog do you like best for its Design and why?
And
Which author's website and/or blog do you like best for its content and why?
The whole web thing is going to be interesting...
Thank you!

Anna, I'll come back to read your story. :)
For appearance, I love Michelle Diener's website and blog (www.michellediener.com). It's gorgeous! I also love the way my website looks and Jennifer Estep. They're all designed by Justin Knupp at Stonecreek Media.
Another blog I love the look of is Writer Unboxed. It's inspiring my Magical Musings bloggers to redo ours. And I love Jennifer Crusie's website. It suits her books, and that's what's important.
For blog content: Karin Takbe. She has the best contests, most notably the first line contest, which resulted in 6 partial entries being sent to a Pocket editor. She's doing something similar in January.
Jennifer Crusie always writes great blogs, her own or with other people. At Magical Musings, we have 5 regular bloggers and one great guest blog every week. Writer Unboxed interviews writers. Karin Tabke has great and sometimes funny blogs, plus on Wednesday Officer Friendly answers cop questions.
You can tell I've put a lot of thought into this. LOL.
Thanks for your suggestions, Edie and Karin! I'm going to check out the sites you mention, Edie.
Very good basics, Karin - a design is only as good as its content!
Can't wait to read the full story!
I really like Loreth Anne White's website and blog. It's really clean and easy to read, and the arty touches, such as the landscape photos and handwriting-style title, complement it really well.
For content, I'm a big fan of Jill Shalvis' and Suzanne McMinn's websites and blogs. I like reading not just about the books, but about the writing life and their hobbies, as well as seeing the lovely pics they post.
Hope that helps!

Definitely take a look at DreamForge Media's sites. I love the new one they did for Julia Holden and Dawn Calvert, and Jaci Burton's. A whole lot of variety there!
Ruth Wilhelm (sorry I don't have my own blogger account!
Right, so I've got Dreamforge, Swank and Stonecreek to look through! Thanks everyone for your suggestions, they really make life easier. :-)
