Bright Magenta Foods
Beetroot, people! BEETROOT! Do you not have beetroot over there???
Sheesh! As Julie said, bright magenta foods are always good. And this smoothie is a particularly pleasing shade of radioactive pink.
First, for the boring "beetroot is fashionable" stuff, go here, then, for the far more interesting "beetroot and sex" stuff, go here. Never let it be said this blog is not a) educational, and b) downright wierd.

LOL on the pink food, Anna!! I think you're scaring me with the beetroot, though!

So now I have to know. Have you peed pink yet?
I get it now. Beets. I guess we leave off the root over here, because...it's redundant. *g*
And magenta urine would go with my magenta hair. *snicker*
I don't eat beets (my mouth's gone dry and fuzzy at the thought), so I'm certainly not going to drink them. *g*
I still don't see any chocolate....
makes lemon face at magenta veggies and passes Jaci the Hershey kisses with caramel...
I've always wanted to do the "do you pee pink?" experiment. I might eat a whole container of it for lunch at school next week and see what happens.
And I want to meet this "sexiest farmer of the north" guy who looks carefully at pictures of brothels.
I do know that somewhere there's a hill farmer calendar in the same vein as 'Calendar Girls'. I'm slightly disturbed by the thought of a virile young farmer, tastefully posed, preserving his modesty with a sheep.
No, you don't pee pink, people.
But prepare for a shock when you poo.
Did you know that regurgitated blueberries are red?
I discovered that while suffering morning sickness with the short kid and for a few horrible moments thought I was going to die.
And yak's milk is pink.
I like barscsz, which is a clear beetroot soup (Polish). Excellent in cold weather.
Thank you, Shannon and Anna. You've made me think about food in a whole new way.
It's not a good way. But it's a new way.
Beetroot? Fashionable?
Okay, in this day and age, total body tattoos and numerous flesh piercings are 'fashionable' too .....
But as with beetroot, I hearby pass!
Jewell the shuddering
