About Me
- Name: Anna Louise Lucia
- Location: English Lake District, United Kingdom
Welcome to my blog! There’s no such thing as an ordinary person. I passionately believe in that. I’m pretty ordinary myself. Thirties, married, average height, average weight. I get up, I get online, I go to work, I come home, cook, eat, write and sleep. But I’ve also proposed marriage over a prawn curry cooked on the shores of Ennerdale Water, climbed mountains in an icelandic wool poncho and played extreme tag in the African bush. Many of my stories play with this theme, that an ordinary person might be going about the business of their life until something happens, something changes… and changes their whole world. They become heroes.

Welcome back!
Send some rain my way ...
It rained off and on all last week. I was so glad to see the green back.
You weren't cleaning your house for me were you, cause you know I'll only make it messy again! ;)

Does anyone else think Anna has the world's cutest calves?
Actually, that's a really awesome picture. Great colors and composition. Love it. Welcome bak, Anna!
As for the rain, we could sure use some here. Grass is brown, brown, brown.
I am more than willing to share the rain... ;-)
It was hilarious, actually. That picture was taken as we were leaving a rather nice tea rooms in the grounds of a stately home. We arrived during a rain storm. The Manageress, in opening the door for us, said, "Oh, I see the sandbags aren't here yet..."
There were two power cuts while we were there, and the thunder cracked over head. At one point the Manageress and the charming waiter came out to ask us to let them know if we saw any spreading damp patches on the ceiling.
"It used to be a glass ceiling when it was a ballroom," they said, "and they didn't do a great job converting it during the war."
I love old houses.
Ah, Sela, the calves are cuter now they're smaller... ;-)
